SMG Volunteers at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey
Staff Management has been serving the Union County community by offering jobs from our offices in Elizabeth for years.
On Thursday, July 25th, seven of our Staff Management Group employees volunteered their morning with a food bank called the Community Food Bank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) in Hillside, NJ to serve the community.
In just three hours, the team sorted and prepared 300 boxes full of different items, such as cereal, fruits and vegetables, pasta, baby food, pet food, hygiene products, medicine, and more!
My experience with CFBNJ was amazing. The employees guided us on how to help, and everyone was nice. It was a great experience on my end. I was very fortunate to be a part of this experience knowing we are helping the community against food insecurity.
The CFBNJ team is dedicated to effectively addressing root causes of hunger, delivering neighbor-centric solutions, and fostering collaborative partnerships across all sectors of society for New Jersey.
CFBNJ facilitates food distributions from their two locations in Hillside and Egg Harbor Township. They consistently show that they value people over job titles, empathize with others, and foster a generous, curious, and supportive culture. They promise impactful actions and honest assessments.
Sorting and packing those boxes to be distributed all throughout New Jersey’s food pantries, soup kitchens, and child and senior feeding programs clearly highlights the facility’s impact on communities facing food insecurity and poverty. We express gratitude to our dedicated SMG team for fostering positive change.
We are deeply grateful to this unwavering organization for welcoming us a second time. We eagerly anticipate future collaborations. As one of our branch managers, Jose, had said, “Teamwork makes the dream work!“
