SMG Volunteers at the Care Center in Rockaway, NJ
For over 40 years, Staff Management Group has proudly supported communities across New Jersey, including Morris County from our Dover branch, connecting people with meaningful work and giving back through service whenever possible.
This morning, 4 members of our team spent the morning volunteering at the CARE Center’s Food for HOPE Food Pantry in Rockaway, NJ, lending a hand to help fight food insecurity in the local community.
Our group greeted and checked-in all visitors, packed food packages, guided visitors, and stocked shelves. Our team was there to ensure smooth distribution and impact for thousands of families annually.
It was truly a pleasure to volunteer this morning; it was a very rewarding experience. We were able to contribute our small part, and it is truly uplifting to know that we can bring a moment of happiness to people who genuinely need it. It served as a reminder of the importance of empathy and how small actions can make a big difference.
The CARE Center helps people with basic needs like food, clothing, and support services. Their facility is a large community hub offering different kinds of assistance to families in need. The Food for HOPE pantry is a free, choice-based grocery pantry where people can pick out the food they need. They also deliver food to communities that don’t have easy access to grocery stores..
We’re incredibly grateful to the CARE Center team for welcoming us into their space and guiding us through a morning of meaningful service. The experience reminded us of the power of community and the importance of coming together to support our neighbors.
